Spook-tacular Sleepover - Saturday 12th November 2016
Have you ever wondered what it would be like to stay in school at night?
Year 6 can answer that very question for you. On Saturday 12th November, we had a splendid, spooky sleepover in the school hall to give us inspiration for our scary stories. Staying in school on a Saturday night was extremely exciting...and a little frightening!
During the evening, we participated in numerous activities: a scary, scavenger hunt; a fearsome, frightening film; a sensationally scrumptious sweetshop; listened to terrifying tales; and played tantalising team games.
Without a doubt, the best activity of the evening was the cosy, crackling campfire. When the wind was racing through the trees and the darkness painted the sky, we all made our way outside. Enjoying our delicious treats of popcorn and sweets, we congregated on the benches around the bright, blazing fire. Happily, we sang songs and listened to spine-tingling stories.
Inside the hall lay the biggest surprise of the evening. The teachers opened the doors to reveal a 'hall of horrors' that sent shivers up our spines and made our hair stand on end. It really did look 'spook-tastic'!
It was the best sleepover we have ever been to....even though there wasn't much sleep!
