At King David Primary School we provide food throughout the school day for our pupils/students staff and visitors. Our premises are regularly inspected by the Local Environmental Health Officer who uses the Food Hygiene Rating Scheme to rate the hygiene standards of our school.
The school catering staff are supported by consultants CMC. The Campus is responsible for the food provision at the school.
Our catering manager Mary-Jane Buckley is based in the school kitchen between 7:30 am and 2:30 pm.

All Infant children are entitled to a free school meal.
We encourage children to take school meals wherever possible; this helps us to ensure that children have a healthy meal at lunchtime, and that all kosher laws are strictly followed. We are able to cater for a range of special diets, whether for health reasons (e.g. coeliac disease, diabetes) or other reasons (e.g. vegan / vegetarian, religious).

If you decide to provide a packed lunch for your child, we have published important guidance on what can be included (see School Food Newsletter below). We also teach children about what is healthy, and permissible under kosher laws. We do check packed lunches regularly.

Your child may be eligible for free school meals. If you live in Liverpool, you can check their eligibility on the City Council's website:
School receives funding for children who are eligible for Free School Meals, even if they are in the Infants or if they bring a packed lunch. We use this additional funding to provide support, including help with paying for trips, Breakfast Club, instrumental tuition, and additional learning resources.
