All children have music lessons in class as part of the National Curriculum.
There are additional opportunities for children to be involved in music, through:
- Instrumental tuition (Junior pupils). Children at King David learn a range of instruments, including cello, clarinet, guitar, percussion, piano, flute, saxophone and violin. Each year in the second half of the summer term, the children put on a performance for Year 2 pupils and parents.
If you are interested in your child having instrument lessons at the school, please would you complete a Music Instrument Lesson – Request Form (below) and email F.O.A. Mr Holroyd (email@example.com), Head of Music, who will pass on your details to the relevant music teacher. The music teacher will then contact you regarding the setting up of lessons and will inform you when lessons can start.
- Orchestra is taught by Mr Taylor on Wednesdays after school. Please complete and return the request form below if you would like your child to take part.
- Choir (Y4 - Y6). Mrs Manley, Miss Abrams and Mrs Morris offer choir sessions and children have the opportunity to perform at the Jewish Representative Council Annual Civic Service (usually in March) and other events including Prizegiving.
