We are excited to be in the early stages of developing our new nursery and look forward to welcoming families soon. While some details are still being finalised, we understand that parents and carers may already have questions about what to expect. To support you at this stage, we have provided answers to some of the most commonly asked questions below, which we hope will give you a helpful overview of our vision, values, and planned provision.

When will the nursery open?

King David Nursery is due to open on Monday 7th September, term dates will follow in line with the school. 

How can I use my 30 or 15 hours?

Pupils attending for 30 hours per week will start nursery at 8.20am to 3.30pm Monday to Thursday, 8.20am to 2.10pm Friday. 

We will welcome our 15 hours pupils from January 2027 offering AM places Monday to Friday and PM places Monday to Thursday. 

(AM: 8.20am to 11.20am)

(PM: 11.45am to 3.30pm)

Can I pay for a place?

Yes, we charge £20 for am and pm slot, if you wish to stay for dinner it will be an additional £10 voluntary charge. This can be used in line with your 15 hours. All paid slots have a deposit request of £100. 

Full day with lunch - £50 (8.20am to 3.30pm)

This charge does not include wrap around care. 

Can my child stay for lunch?

Yes, pupils who qualify for 30 hours can stay for lunch with an additional voluntary charge of £10 per day, PM pupils will be given the option to attend lunch from January 2027. 

If your child qualifies for 15 hours a voluntary charge of £2 per day can be paid for snacks. 

Will my child wear a uniform?

We are still in the process of finalising a uniform, all pupils will be expected to wear a uniform when attending which will consist of comfortable clothing such as a tracksuit and a polo with KDPS logo. 

How do I apply?

To apply please complete our application form located at the top of this page. We offer places in September and January, pupils can start the term after they turn 3. 

Can my child attend wrap around care?

Yes, we will be offering wrap around care at an additional cost to all nursery pupils. We have not finalised the layout of our ASC but if you are interested please complete an ASC form which can be found at the bottom of this page. Once completed the form should be emailed to KDPS_ASC@kingdavidliverpool.co.uk 

Can I mix my days or reduce hours? 

No, the hours can only be used as offered and must be committed to , if your child does not attend regularly we can remove them from role.
