VE DAY RESOURCES
YEAR TWO RESOURCES FOR SUMMER 1 2020
AM is a programme of maths tests which the children have been working on during the year. They provide an indication of what the children know and what they need to practise.

AM

GH - Grammar Hammer is a series of grammar, punctuation and spelling exercises/tests to practise and assess what the children know and what they need to practise.
English Topic for next couple of weeks is Nocturnal Animals - this is the first part focusing on Non-fiction format.  Further resources are below.

A series of mixed revision English short revision exercises which the children seem to quite like doing.
Spelling for Year 2 - would be useful to practise a list a day. Shouldn't be too taxing!

Science

We are continuing with the topic of plants for the first part of this term. Weekly planning will be posted. Use your own judgement on what you think your child will need to cover.

Maths Topic for the COUPLE OF WEEKS is Position and Direction. We usually do a bit of mental maths such as Hit the Button and maybe something written perhaps a bit of Big Maths or one of the mats. Weekly maths topic work will be posted. White Rose also conduct live teaching sessions free of charge on their web site free of charge.
